Your corrosion warranty will cover rust-through perforation of your car’s sheet metal. However, it doesn’t cover surface corrosion brought on by nicks, chips, or scratches. An emissions warranty comes separate from other warranties. They typically cover your car for seven to eight years and up to 80,000 miles. It covers any emissions problems you have with your car.
